The Diocese of Kentucky

DIOCESE OF KENTUCKY

The Commonwealth of Kentucky was all one Diocese until 1895 when it was divided into the Diocese of Kentucky (Western half of the commonwealth), and the Diocese of Lexington (Eastern half of the Commonwealth).  We are a part of the Fourth Province in the larger church and are comprised of approximately thirty-seven congregations.  St. Luke's is one of the largest and fastest-growing.

Christ Church Cathedral is located at 421 S. Second Street in downtown Louisville.  Our bishop is the Rt. Rev. Terry Allen White, the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Kentucky.
